According to the text itself, the great sage Brahma (the creator) approached the Lord Narasimha (the half-man, half-lion incarnation of Vishnu) to ask a pressing question. Brahma was confused. He wanted to know how humanity could achieve liberation (Moksha) in the age of Kali, where people are short-lived, lazy, ill-fated, and constantly disturbed by anxiety.
