If all else fails, remove every trace of Photoshop and start fresh.

This is the most effective fix for most users, as it forces Photoshop to regenerate the Home screen extension files. Close Photoshop and the Creative Cloud app completely. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP . Rename the UXP folder to ~UXP or UXP_backup . Restart Photoshop. For macOS: Close Photoshop and the Creative Cloud app. Navigate to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP . Rename the UXP folder to ~UXP . Restart Photoshop. 2.
