Bukhari 5255 - Sahih

May Allah grant us the understanding of His religion and the ability to emulate the best of creation, Muhammad (PBUH), in all matters—public and private.

The direct legal ruling (Hukm) derived from Sahih Bukhari 5255 is the of a husband and wife bathing from a single container.

A: Shyness is a virtue. If you feel more comfortable bathing alone, that is fine. The hadith removes the prohibition , not the personal preference.

"The Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Deeds are (judged) by their motive (niyyah), so every man gets what he has intended. Thus, he who has migrated for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, his migration is for Allah and His Messenger. He who has migrated for the sake of worldly gain or for a woman he wants to marry, his migration is for that which he has migrated.'" (Sahih Bukhari 5255)

He did not react with offense to being called an "ordinary man," acting instead with humility.
