Top Gear - Season 27 -

If you are a lapsed fan who stopped watching after The Grand Tour left, do yourself a favor. Skip the awkward Evans season. Skip the uneven Season 26. Start with (The Motorhome Apocalypse). You will laugh, you will cringe, and you will remember why you loved this show in the first place.

Better than Season 26. Not as good as Season 8. A solid relaunch. Top Gear - Season 27

: Continued as the technical anchor, providing journalistically rigorous car reviews while balancing the trio’s banter. If you are a lapsed fan who stopped

(2019) introduced the trio nobody asked for but everyone ended up liking: Paddy McGuinness (the loud northern comedian), Freddie Flintoff (the giant cricket legend with a death wish), and Chris Harris (the actual racing driver who can drift better than you can walk). Start with (The Motorhome Apocalypse)

One of the standout moments of the season occurred in the second episode, featuring a high-speed chase through the streets of Mansfield in "electric" cars built on a budget. This segment showcased the show's renewed focus on relatability and DIY spirit, proving that Top Gear didn't always need a million-pound supercar to be gripping. However, for the petrolheads, the season didn't skimp on exotic machinery either. Chris Harris delivered his signature precision reviews of the Ferrari 488 Pista, the McLaren 600LT, and the staggering Dallara Stradale, ensuring the show maintained its reputation for top-tier automotive critiques.

The season premiere, "The Big Movers," set the tone for the rest of the series. The episode features Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May embarking on a road trip from Rome to Naples in three unusual cars: a Lancia Delta S4, a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S, and a Lotus Evora. The challenge? To see which car can transport a selection of large, awkwardly-shaped items, including a piano, a bicycle, and a large piece of furniture. The episode was a great reminder of the show's lighthearted humor and the hosts' ability to poke fun at themselves.
