The only exception is the speaker. Apple discontinued it in 2022, but its updater did exist as a separate app on the Mac App Store. That app has since been removed. If you own a Pill+, its firmware is now frozen in time.

Unlike manual updates, Apple prefers background updates. It can take 20–30 minutes, and you will only know the update happened by checking the firmware version a day later.

Note: Sometimes, simply having the headphones connected to your Mac while the Mac is connected to Wi-Fi is enough. macOS often updates Beats firmware silently in the background.
