Autodesk offered free 3-year educational licenses for PowerMill 2017 through the Autodesk Education Community. While no longer active for 2017, students with existing licenses can recover serials via their education account.

If you purchased PowerMill 2017 legally but lost your serial number:

If the software is currently installed and running on a machine, you can find the serial number within the interface.

If you’re dusting off a copy of PowerMill 2017 to handle a specific CAM project, you might be met with a frustrating "Enter Serial Number" prompt. Because Autodesk shifted its licensing model around 2017, finding that original key isn't always as simple as looking at a sticker on a box anymore.

PowerMill 2017 uses the Autodesk License Manager (LMTOOLS). For network licenses:
