When you use a solver extension or a proxy service, you are essentially allowing a third party to see the CAPTCHA challenge. If the CAPTCHA contains sensitive information (which is rare, but possible), you are exposing that data. Furthermore, malicious browser extensions are a common vector for malware. A "free" solver might secretly be a keylogger or crypto-miner.
