: Insert the SMC into your PC. Using TIA Portal, configure the card as an "Empty Transfer Card." Power Down : Turn off the power to the S7-1200 CPU. Insert and Power Up

You now have a clean PLC with no password. However, you also have no program . You will need to download your backup.

: Insert the empty transfer card into the PLC and turn the power back on.
