A native Fable 2 Steam release is unlikely before 2027. If it happens, it will be a full remaster, not a simple port.

While its predecessor ( Fable: The Lost Chapters ) and its divisive sequel ( Fable III ) have enjoyed mixed receptions on PC via Steam, the golden child of the franchise——remains conspicuously absent. Released exclusively for Xbox 360 in 2008 (and later made backwards compatible on Xbox One and Series X/S), Peter Molyneux’s ambitious moral-simulation RPG has never officially graced a Windows desktop.
