Seisimager Software [verified] -

SeisImager/SW can process active data (from a sledgehammer) or passive data (using ambient microtremors), allowing for much deeper imaging without high-energy sources.

While it is not designed for deep hydrocarbon exploration (hundreds to thousands of meters), for the critical zone—the top 100 meters where buildings, roads, and pipelines live—SeisImager is the benchmark.

Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) has become the preferred method for determining site class (Vs30) for earthquake engineering. seisimager software

Geometrics continues to develop SeisImager. Recent updates (v. 4.x) have focused on:

Interpret specialized borehole seismic tests. SeisImager/SW can process active data (from a sledgehammer)

Detect voids and weathered zones beneath a highway embankment.

Tomography does not assume discrete layers. Instead, it uses a grid-based approach to calculate a continuous velocity model. This allows SeisOpt to image velocity gradients, faults, and irregular bedrock surfaces that traditional refraction methods might miss. By iteratively adjusting the velocity model until the calculated travel times match the observed data, SeisOpt produces a highly detailed image of the subsurface structure. The SeisImager suite includes several key software packages tailored for different geophysical methods: SeisImager/2D - Geometrics

Simultaneously, the same shot gathers (or dedicated MASW roll-along data) are loaded into SWIFT.

While often referred to as one entity, SeisImager is actually divided into two core modules, each optimized for a different seismic method.
