SOLIDWORKS 2019 Windows 11 is a bit of a "proceed with caution" situation. While SOLIDWORKS officially only supports Windows 11 for versions 2022 SP2 and newer
It does not necessarily mean the software will refuse to install or crash immediately upon launch. It means that the developers have not tested the software on that OS, and they will not guarantee its stability. If you open a technical support ticket regarding a crash on this configuration, the first instruction from VARs (Value Added Resellers) will be to reinstall on a supported OS. You are, in essence, entering "At Your Own Risk" territory.
Once installed, SolidWorks 2019 will feel sluggish out of the box on Windows 11. Here is how to fix that.
