The (often mistakenly called a "resetter") is a proprietary service utility designed by Epson for technicians. It is not available to the general public through official support channels, but it has been leaked and circulated online.

To prevent ink from overflowing and damaging your desk or the printer’s internal electronics, Epson programs a counter to track the "usage" of these pads. Once the counter reaches a predefined limit (often around 100%), the printer firmware locks the device and displays a message like:
