Redefining Movement and Space: A Critical Analysis of Level Design and Player Agency in Mirror’s Edge (2008)

Unlike traditional first-person shooters, the focus is on fluid movement and momentum. Players use parkour—wall-running, sliding, and leaping—to navigate the environment. "MULTi13" : This indicates the release includes 13

Released by DICE in 2008, Mirror’s Edge arrived as a stark, sterile, and strikingly beautiful alternative to the gritty first-person shooters of its era. While most games in the genre focused on the barrel of a gun, Mirror’s Edge focused on the soles of a pair of red running shoes. It is a game defined not by what the player destroys, but by how the player moves, turning the urban landscape into a rhythmic playground of "flow." The City of Glass: Surveillance and Style

Set in a nameless, near-future utopia (often dubbed the "City of Glass"), the game presents a world that is visually breathtaking but politically suffocating. The aesthetic is dominated by high-contrast whites and primary colors—a design choice that isn't just for show. Through "Runner Vision," objects like pipes, ramps, and doors are highlighted in vibrant red, guiding the player’s momentum through a world that wants to remain rigid and controlled. I thought I would add this just in case someone runs into this problem WITHOUT having a fuse in the DIA location.

The DTAC solution # is 71449 dated 12-22-2010.

Solution Summary: 00/10/20 W/T tractor goes into diagnostic mode on its own.

Complaint or Symptom: Tractor goes into Diagnostic mode while operating in the field. Corner post display stops showing engine RPM and displays DIA while engine is running. Tractor can be shut off and restarted to return to normal operation. Circuit 312 acquires enough voltage from other circuits to place controller into diagnostic mode without a fuse in diagnostic mode position F10.

Solution: Insert a male spade terminal into diagnostic fuse F10 for circuit 312 (non-powered side). Connect the other end of this wire to a ground terminal in the power strip. This prevents circuit 312 from causing controllers to go into diagnostic mode without a fuse installed in position F10.

CAUTION: Make certain to use a voltmeter to identify which side of fuse holder F10 does not have 12 volts applied to it. Non-powered side of fuse F10 is connected to circuit 312.

I had a 8410 a couple of years ago with this problem and a ground wire cured it.
