Unlike its successor, Colin McRae Rally 2005 , which is widely available on Steam and GOG.com, Colin McRae Rally 2.0 has never been re-released on modern digital storefronts. This is largely due to licensing issues—both regarding the Colin McRae estate and the car manufacturers involved.

This Steam version includes all the cars and stages from CMR 2.0 , plus content from the first game. It runs natively on Windows 10/11, supports modern resolutions (up to 4K), and has full controller support. It is, without question, the safest and easiest way to experience the game today.

If you enjoy patching old games, configuring Glide wrappers, and manually editing .ini files for fun, hunting down the original Colin McRae Rally 2.0 full version is a nostalgic project.
