Your Mac model is older (pre-2008) or newer (post-2012). Lion supports only:
Navigate to Contents/SharedSupport/ and find InstallESD.dmg .
Inside, you will see a file named InstallMacOSX.pkg . Run this to install the "Install Mac OS X Lion" application into your Applications folder.
If you purchased Lion through the Mac App Store using your Apple ID when it was current (before it was removed in 2013), you can still download it:
