If you buy a refurbished Epson EcoTank printer and the seller claims it is "new old stock," decode the date code on the mainboard. The month code is where many people stumble. Epson does not use the standard "1 through 12" numbering for months. Instead, they utilize an alphanumeric system to keep the marking compact.
