Here’s a review for Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6:
Departing from the French Riviera and Italian coastlines of previous years, Season 6 charted a course for the Balearic Island of Mallorca, Spain. Aboard the 180-foot motor yacht Lady Michelle , Captain Sandy Yawn returned to helm a crew that would go down in history as one of the most memorable—and at times, most contentious—groups in the show's history.
One mid-season dinner service descends into such a verbal firestorm that it rivals any Real Housewives reunion. Plates fly, insults land, and loyalties shatter—all while charter guests look on in horror. It’s peak reality TV, but you’ll wince as much as you gasp.
Returning to the wheel was Captain Sandy Yawn. Known for her micromanaging tendencies and "my way or the highway" leadership style, Sandy entered Season 6 with a point to prove. While she is technically proficient, this season tested her management skills as she oscillated between supportive mentor and heavy-handed disciplinarian.
For Season 6, the franchise traded the usual teal waters of Greece or Spain for the historic Adriatic Coast of Croatia . The 180-foot mega-yacht, Lady Michelle , provided a stunning backdrop. With a classic interior, a sprawling beach club, and a top deck perfect for crew confrontations, the vessel was large enough to house the chaos but small enough to ensure no one could hide from the inevitable drama.
The audience's surrogate. Courtney was witty, hard-working, and utterly exhausted by the antics around her. She provided the season’s comic relief and most relatable confessionals, often rolling her eyes just as the audience was at home.
Any successful season of Below Deck Med requires a mix of competence and volatility. Season 6 delivered this in spades, introducing fan-favorites and franchise villains.
