Port1 No Voice Service Configured Exclusive Direct

If you see nothing under voice-port 0/1/0 (or similar numbering), or if you see the command shutdown under it, the port is disabled.

A small law firm installed a Cisco 2921 router with a VIC3-2FXS card to connect two analog fax machines. After power cycling the router, they saw repeated console messages: port1 no voice service configured . The first fax machine (Port 0) worked fine; the second (Port 1) was dead. port1 no voice service configured

These companies use "Auto-Configuration Servers" (ACS). If your Port 1 is unconfigured, it means their server isn't "talking" to your house. Call their tech support and tell them: "My modem is online, but the Voice service is not provisioned on Port 1."
