The story follows a legendary "Priest" (played by Paul Bettany), a warrior of the Church who breaks sacred vows. After a shocking attack by mutated vampires, he learns that his kidnapped niece (Lily Collins) is alive. Teaming up with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a Priestess (Maggie Q), he ventures into the Wasteland to hunt down a powerful vampire leader (Karl Urban).
