Below are the various dictionary files we used to create our lists. They are wordlists, or list of words. Most of these dictionary wordlists were installed as a language option for our operating system (ie. Ubuntu or Debian dictionary files.) Since not everyone has access to a Linux system, it made sense making these files available for download.

A: For professional studios, “Khmer Sanskrit” or “Angkor Pro” by local foundries offer extended glyphs and kerning pairs. However, the free Google Noto and Khmer OS fonts are sufficient for 99% of users.

Khmer has tall ascenders (the tops of letters like ក) and deep descenders (subscripts like ្ត). In the Character panel, set (the A with a vertical arrow) to 120-140% of font size – never use "Auto."

Photoshop on Mac handles Khmer better when you enable in the Paragraph panel. Go to Type → Language Options → Middle Eastern & South Asian – even though Khmer isn't listed, this enables OpenType shaping.
