The central conflict revolves around a biological weapon known as the "Dragon." Unlike the straightforward villains of standard action anime, the antagonist here has a tragic connection to Karen’s family history. The episode forces Karen to confront her lineage, adding a layer of melodrama to the otherwise campy proceedings.
The climax involves a literal countdown. As the reactor threatens to induce a global age-regression event (turning adults into children), Aika must fight the cyborg assassin in a flooded engine core.
