are a fantastic solution for the retro gamer on a budget. If you have a modern gaming PC, just download the full 4GB ISOs—storage is cheap. However, if you are trying to run PCSX2 on a $200 laptop or an older Android tablet, compression is the only way to play.

However, emulating these classics on a PC or Android device comes with one massive hurdle: A standard PS2 ISO can range from 1 GB to 4.5 GB (the size of a DVD). For a gamer with a modern, limited SSD or an older laptop, downloading even five games could eat up 20 GB of space.
