The primary purpose of this update is to refresh the internal . Unlike a major "head-unit" flash, this is a minor media and telephony update that targets specific pain points for owners of older BMWs: upd01008.bin

Early firmware for the GSA-4163B had issues with “buffer underrun” protection and could produce coasters when burning at maximum speed. Version 1.08 addressed these stability issues. Thanks
