Ziyarat Nahiya is an ordinary compilation. According to Mafatih al-Jinan and other reliable sources, it was dictated by Imam Mahdi (ATFS) to a special companion, Muhammad ibn Zayd, during the minor occultation (Ghaybat al-Sughra). The Imam expressed his grief for Karbala and taught this visitation as a substitute for those unable to physically visit Imam Hussain’s grave.
