Ansys is shifting toward licensing, where a pool of tokens is consumed based on solver type and core count (e.g., CFX uses 150 tokens, Mechanical uses 100). The License Manager handles token debiting identically to traditional licenses.
Before installing, verify the (MAC Address) of the server. Note that ANSYS usually requires the physical Ethernet MAC address, not the Wi-Fi or virtual adapter addresses. This ID must be provided to ANSYS Inc. to generate a valid license file.
