In South Korea, several hospitals integrate Sujok Six Ki diagnosis alongside standard blood work to create personalized treatment plans for autoimmune diseases, metabolic syndrome, and chronic pain. sujok six ki constitution

By pairing each of these three energies with either a Yin or Yang polarity, we arrive at the six distinct constitutional types:

To understand the Six Ki Constitution, one must first revisit the fundamental dualism of Yin and Yang. In Eastern philosophy, all phenomena arise from the interplay of these two opposing yet complementary forces. However, Professor Park refined this model by introducing a dynamic, tripartite expression of energy. The "Six Ki" (Ki, or Qi, meaning vital energy) are derived from the combination of the two polarities of Yin and Yang with three fundamental energies: the (creative, expansive, male energy), the Gwan (regulating, harmonizing, earthly energy), and the Eum (receptive, contractive, female energy). Heat is the energy of transformation, function, and joy

Governs circulation, the heart, small intestine, and blood vessels.

Professor Park Jae-woo famously said, "The hand is the image of the body, but the constitution is the image of the soul." Excess leads to: Chills, brittle bones, or chronic fear

Treatment based on the Six Ki Constitution is highly specific. Instead of a "one-size-fits-all" acupuncture point selection, the practitioner selects points on the hand or foot that correspond to the individual’s deficient or excess Ki. For instance, a Yin-Eum type with kidney weakness would receive stimulation on points corresponding to the kidney meridian, using warming (Yang) techniques to counteract their constitutional Yin coldness. Conversely, a Yang-Jang type with excess liver fire would receive sedating, cooling treatments. This constitutional tailoring extends to recommendations for diet, color therapy (using colored seeds or magnets on points), lifestyle, and even psychological counseling—all aimed at restoring the dynamic equilibrium of the six Ki.
