Pakistan is an agricultural country whose economy largely depends on farming. The Indus River and its tributaries are the main source of irrigation. Unfortunately, due to improper utilization of water resources, hundreds of thousands of acres of land are becoming barren every year. The government should promote modern irrigation systems and provide farmers with training in drip irrigation.
